With All Due Respect

Palm Beach County GOP Chairman Sid Dinerstein doesn't want to seat white supremacist Derek Black on the Republican Execute Committee despite being elected to the post. One of the reasons he sites is that they are "the party of Lincoln".

Mr. Dinerstein, I certainly think it is noble that you do not want to be associated with a piece of trash like Mr. Black. With all due respect, the Republican party hasn't been the party of Lincoln since the turn of the 20th century. You are the party of McCarthy, Nixon, Reagan and Bush. It would seem to me that Mr. Black, as well as his good buddy David Duke, represent that party in a fine fashion.

Ultimately, as long as the Republicans continue to abide racism, they will have white supremacists showing up in the ranks of their party. Besides, I don't see any difference between the "true believer" white supremacist like Black, and the crass political opportunists who exploit racism for their benefit, like Nixon, Reagan and Bush.
